Here's another heart-warming video on Terry Fox.
How does someone like Terry inspire you?
Some things to think about:
(1) How do you think Terry felt when he found out that he had bone cancer?
(2) What made him decide to raise money for cancer research?
(3) After his death, a statue was built in memory of him. The head of the statue was raised high... what does this mean to you?

I think that Terry Fox was a brave man. Even though he had bone cancer, he decided he would run across Canada, one-legged to help raise fund for cancer research. I think that his aim to help raise funds was to help others with cancer, as he lost his leg to cancer. He must have felt sad when he knew thathe had bone cancer. After his death x, a statue of him was built in memory. The head of the statue was raised high. I think the reason that the head was raised up high is to show that that Terry Fox was an man who never gave up.

ReplyDelete2)Terry ran for 143 days from East to West.Suddenly,he fainted near Thunder Bay,Ontario.
3)This means That he shows pride, confidence and Terry will never give up!
Terry inspire me by his inspiration and determination and spirit to continue running across Canada from east to west direction. But something stopped him from running at Ontario,Canada. I think he felt very sad after knowing that he had bone cancer.Terry decided to raise funds for cancer research because he wanted to help those who were in the same boat as him. The statue of Terry means to me that we must never ever give up even thought we know the challeges we may face.
